TINGALINGALING !!!

I have my cup of tea and a couple of choccy biscuits , so I am ready to go !!  First of all just want to say thanks to all the new people who have left lovely comments and started following - what a boost to the ego !!
Have not made much new to show you as too busy sewing reindeers, but there are a couple of piccies so here goes,

My button wreath.
May have to keep this for myself but intend on making it in red and gingerbread colours.

It has a fabulous rust coloured bell on the end that gives a real christmassy tinkle , my little people adore it , pondering whether to put on folksy ,selling for about £12.00 .

The gingerbreadman saga is coming to a close today , we are a multicultured society which needs to be reflected in all walks of life so here is my third and final gingerbreadperson,

Isn;t he lovely !

I must give a shout out to my crazy but lovely craft market pal - THE ULTIMATE DRIFTER  she makes those cold early mornings much easier to bear with her humour and supportivenes - check her beautiful stuff out here

Well had a quiet week this week , but after 8 months I finally have my car back so I hit the road with vengeance , catching up on all the retail therapy I have missed and purchased the following-

A vase for 50 p ( I am the last of the big spenders),

A red polka dot tablecloth that cost £5.80 -this reaaly cheered me up .

These lovely PLAYING HOUSE  tea plates that came in a lovely box for £2.00 - I am a happy lady.
I have also bought a fantabulous new coffee table for our lounge from a charity shop -but I can't take a photo of it as its still in the car way too heavy for me and my good neighbour to lift so awaiting arrival of big bear to get it out. Its round- no pesky corners to bang my legs on or catch little peoples heads on .

Spent the day yesterday with just one of my little ones as the eldest still in school and the youngest had a bampagan day ( bampa and gran - my eldest started it 8 years ago and its stuck).

Here she is participating in her favourite pastime - eating , she is sooo her mothers daughter!! and yes her eyes do look dark - thanks mum for putting eye shadow on her - I didnt realise until we were out. We went and got her sisters birthday pressies and  had lunch out ,its not often we get time just the two of us so it was a real treat for me and her !

Well must go and feed the troups and admire my new tablecloth whilst cooking, tonight I am going to have a break from decorations and do some needlefelting will post result after weekend  .
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR MONDAY TO M MY BIG GIRL , HOPE YOU ENJOY THE HORSERIDING X

The gingerbread man

Aahhh the elusive gingerbread man , he has been in my head for quite a while, when I get up in the morning, and have my first cuppa,

when I pick little G up from nursery,

when we go for dog walks,

When I go to bed

and  now finally I am happy with him!! It has taken a month of playing around with old Mr ginger. He has been tall, thin short, fat, he has had a button nose , button eyes, felt nose ,embroidered mouth, a heart on his handand holly on his head but now my gingerbread man is complete-ready for public viewing and he is rather cute and will be on my Folksy shop .Next is Mrs Gingerbread I've tried once but was not happy so here we go again xx

N.B if this blog is not updated again its because I have been sectioned for strange behaviour such as photographing  stuffed toys up trees!!!!

On a final note let me show you this,

Little G has found a new use for night-time nappies -nappy bonnets -could catch on !!!
This is the same little boy who stopped in the middle of the street - which was relatively busy and stuck his hands right down his pants and shouted" look mummy someone has chopped my hand off " and continued to walk on with his hands still tucked comfortably down his pants !! red faces and a few giggles all round!! and do wish he would get out of the habit of shouting ahhhh there a monster coming everytime we go for a walk and somebody comes up behind us - hes starting to give people a complex .

What a day !!

What a fab day we had at the knit and stitch show on thursday , lots of chatting on the train on the train and lots of ohh, aahhing and spending in the show and a few too many of these on the way home

Classy chicks as we are.

Lots of purchases were made,

look at all this lovely spotty ribbon,

and my really special sewers ribbon,

some wool roving in beautiful colours,

can't wait to get needlefelting again,

and I bought beautiful blanket fabric from Madeleine Millington ,her designs are amazing

I planned to make some egg cosies but last night i just felt like a play,
its okay for a first attempt , I dont really know what I am going to do with it but I enjoyed making it!!

WARNING;  when in London in rush hour in the underground and are faced with 2 choices 1. queue for the working escalator which may take a few minutes or 2. yake the broken escalator which in fact means climbing a never ending amount of stairs for eternity , we are lucky we didn't have to call out mountain rescue to come and get us and it took us at least half an hour to recover from this horrendous experience-how embarrassing!!!

We had a lovely weekend ,I got my sea therapy for the week,

plus took my wares to the Discovery centre on the coastal path and hopefully they will be making an order . Anyway must go to collect Little G from nursery , keep following as there will be suprise here very soon!!!

Oh what a lucky girl I am , last night  I went to see,

and he was fantastic- Paulo Nutini I think I love you !!!!!! Lots of foot stomping, thigh slapping happy happy music , we had a fantastic night!!!!!!

On Saturday I went to Penllegaer Market which always has a lovely atmosphere , my Christmas decorations went well,

and if you dont like white,

how about green spots

or good old festive red!!!
These will only be available in the events I visit (check them out on the side bar!).  If reindeers are not your thing, how about a garland ;
it is actually 8 hearts long and will hang beautifully on a fireplace. The gingerbread men and wreaths will be on their way soon , maybe even a santa!!!!

Enough with the Christmas talk, I am going to share my excitement with you as tomorrow I am going with my best buddy MM to the knit and stitch show in the sprawling metropolis that is London , there is so much to be excited about- the train journey up where we can chat for 3 hours with no interuptions, the nervous overwhelming feeling you have when you enter the hall full of things that are oh so pretty and people to talk to  who have the same passions as you ,or the train journey home where we will have time to have a peek at what we have bought and a few well deserved drinks!!!! I am particularly looking forward to meeting Sarah Tremelling whose web site inspired me all those months ago when I first started. Think about me while I am surrounded by buttons, wool, fabric and so much more!! yippee
