Folksy Friday

You will have to excuse me if this blog is a little random as I am sitting here in shock.I was sitting here drinking my tea mulling over the very chaotic start to the morning I had just survived when the postman knocked the door and handed over a huge box .

A few weeks ago I joined up in a colour  swap run by Dolly Dollop and today I received my goodies from the lovely Rachael from Made with love.

 I am not showing photos as it is really dark and dingy here today (they will come ) but I have to say I am speechless and a little shaky over what she has sent, it is beautiful and soooo much and soooo lovely and I think I might actually cry - yes cry that someone has made all this effort for me -little old me.

Thank you thank you thank you rachael - I have had a poopy week this week and you have brightened it all up. Now enough gushing I have to get this blog completed so I can go and rethink my box of goodies for Rachael.


Just wanted to show you this really funny photo of my little G whose mantra in life " I HATE PINK".

Don't look at me , he came downstairs looking like this after raiding the dressing up basket and I have to say he quite enjoyed pink !

On Wednesday my long awaited custom stamp arrived

This is going to be my little logo from now on so you will see it popping in here and there , I am really happy with it and it was designed and made by Craft pudding.

There have been a few new little additions to my shop

Flossie has already flown to Inverness,

Lola comes in her own little nest

I had a very exciting delivery this week , it will enable me to make something completely different from my usual stuff the only clue is that it begins with G and ends in O and I can't wait to have a child free day so I can have a play .

Owls are taking over !!!!

My goodness here goes for usual apology for leaving it so long between blogs - no excuse other than I am just not organised .

I took the plunge last week and split my shop into 2 shops Dottydaisies is here which has all my whimsical creatures and Dottydoesdaises is here with all my brooches in - I have to admit the first shop is doing really well and I have no owls left ! I am going to have to do some shameless plugging to get the second one going . I have also set up a facebook fanpage here - the 50th fan will get a little suprise .

Felling a little confused and lacking in direction - need to make some lists and stick to them so I can get that lovely 'I am sooooo good ' feeling when you tick things off .

 I have  made a decision to really plug my owls and have just made these

All handsewn and made from an upcycled cashmere jumper - she is sooo soft - she will be in my shop as soon as I can get a better photo.I am toying with some ideas to make my owls a little different ;

1. All owls have a baby with them

2. All owls come with their own felt branch to perch on

3. All owls come with a matching hairslide

4.All owls come with their own mouse !!!! not my suggestion and a little to gruesome for me !

5.All owls come with a matching owl brooch made from same felt 

Any other ideas welcome  

I am also planning to start making personalised felt dolls but need a day of child free sewing to get to grips with that .
